Marcia hails from the Midwest with a broad range of experiences in nursing. Marcia holds a BS in Nursing from Loyola University and an MS in Occupational Health and Safety. She is also a board certified nurse practitioner in Adult Health and has been a prior nursing and medical administrator with the Navy. She has been a nursing educator having taught in both stateside and overseas colleges and Universities, and a lecturer for courses preparing nurses and practitioners in taking board exams. Marcia was published in "The Untold Stories of Nursing" (Amy Cockcroft Nursing Leadership Fellows) about her experiences with teaching in Bangladesh and was a frequent contributor to "Pharmacology made insanely easy"and NCLEX-RN 101:HOW TO PASS (ICAN Publishing, Inc) She was nominated for Nurse of the Year in Northern Nevada for Outstanding Achievement in Nursing Innovation. Her strongest desires are in the field research and has spent the last many years working with local cardiologists in trials involving diabetes, atrial fibrillation, DVT/PE, hypertension, and acute coronary syndrome (ACS). And now most recently functioning as the Director of Research at ECIR. |
